The Boysen Group is a specialist for exhaust technology operating at 27 sites and one of the fastest-growing suppliers to the international automotive and commercial vehicle industry. Our products are mainly designed for exhaust gas cleaning, sound attenuation and the conversion of exhaust gas heat into usable energy. In this way, we make a decisive contribution to the effective reduction of pollution and noise as well as to increasing the efficiency of combustion engines.
In the course of the technological transition, we are working on the further digitalisation of our business and manufacturing processes, on product transfers from exhaust technology to alternative drive systems and on new developments in the future-oriented areas of energy and environmental technology. Among other things, we focus on energy storage systems in the form of redox flow battery systems and are pushing ahead with the development of battery housings and hydrogen tank systems.
Another important component of our strategy for the future is the production of fuel cells and the energy-efficient generation of green hydrogen. In this context, we are currently building a development centre for hydrogen technologies in Simmersfeld.
In addition to innovative development methods, our core competencies lie primarily in metal working and automated production. The degree of automation in our factories is over 90%.
