Energy for the future
In order to provide a secure and fair future for all generations, the research teams at the Centre for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research Baden-Württemberg (ZSW) are working on the major issues of the energy transition: photovoltaics, wind energy, batteries, fuel cells, electrolysis, e-fuels and circular economy as well as AI for process and system optimisation. The research area of system analysis presents ways to achieve societal goals, classifies advantages and disadvantages of individual technologies and identifies different courses of action for decision-makers in politics, business and society. Our machine learning and advanced analytics technologies help our clients' companies to transform into smart and sustainable businesses. Together with our industry partners, we pave the way for future energy-related technologies to enter the market and thus set the course for successful technology dissemination. With approximately 400 employees, the ZSW thus contributes to a sustainable future.
