For years, HWA AG has been using the innovative power of motorsport to develop mobility technologies that conserve resources and are as eco-friendly as possible. Under the name HWA RACELAB, the traditional company from Affalterbach prepared the participation of the Mercedes-Benz EQ Team in Formula E and was subsequently behind their participation in the all-electric world championship as a motorsport partner. In August 2020, HWA launched the HYRAZE League together with experienced partners — the world's first racing series to use green hydrogen as an energy carrier.
We aim to use our years of engineering expertise in the field of motorsport to make a significant contribution to the mobility transition of regular road traffic. This is why we participate in the ZEDU-1 project, funded by the state of Baden-Württemberg, where we are developing an emission-free powertrain in cooperation with the German Aerospace Centre: a new mobility solution that also involves minimising brake and tyre abrasion. We have also developed a concept for a fully electric campervan for our partner Knaus Tabbert AG.
