Protect, conserve and shape the environment

The Boysen Group's core business is the development and production of high-performance exhaust systems and components for passenger cars, commercial vehicles and off-highway applications. At 30 locations worldwide, our current workforce of around 5,300 employees develops and manufactures exhaust manifolds, catalytic converters, particulate filters, silencers, tailpipe trims and complete exhaust systems.

In addition, we have been driving forward the technological transformation since 2016. With new product groups such as battery cases, hydrogen storage systems, control elements and electronic components, we are writing the next chapter in our more than 100-year history – and offering our premium customers in the automotive and commercial vehicle sectors an outstanding variety of innovative manufacturing technologies.

These technologies will be brought to perfection with the start of series production of battery cases in 2025 at our two new production plants in Nyíregyháza (Hungary) and Nagold (Calw district), which we operate with almost 100 percent green electricity based on state-of-the-art energy concepts.

Other important components of our future strategy include the manufacture of energy storage systems (flow battery systems) and fuel cells, as well as basic and product development in the field of battery and hydrogen technology. In this context, we launched a new development centre in Simmersfeld (Calw district) in 2024, where we are decisively consolidating and advancing our range of services.

In addition to innovative development methods, our core competencies lie primarily in metal processing and automated production. The degree of automation in our plants is over 90 percent.
