IHI Charging Systems International GmbH (ICSI) is a subsidiary of IHI Corporation (Tokyo). Its employees develop, produce and distribute turbochargers for the European automotive industry. The company's headquarters are located in Ichtershausen (Thuringia), at the site of one of the two state-of-the-art production plants. The second plant is located in Cernusco (Lombardy, Italy). The Engineering Centre, R+D and the Independent Aftermarket are located in Heidelberg.
ICSI's innovative turbocharging systems are successfully used millions of times by almost all European car manufacturers. Forward thinking and the responsibility associated with it are an integral part of the company's philosophy. IHI has adopted CO2-free mobility and the related "hydrogen society" as global key issues. In the course of the strategic change of ICSI's products and services towards alternative drive concepts, the company intends to integrate the core competence for charging systems for fuel cells.
