Be it hydrogen, fuel cells, battery storage or heat pumps — the Education and Training Centre for Innovative Energy Technologies of the Ulm Chamber of Trades and Crafts, WBZU for short, offers the right training courses for your professional development in this field.

The close connection with the trade enables us to always develop well thought-out and practical solutions.

The WBZU is located in the middle of the Science Park Ulm in the direct vicinity of the university, college and various research institutions. In addition to two well-equipped up to date training rooms, which can be individually adapted depending on the size and type of event, the WBZU has a technical centre specifically designed for education and training purposes. A wide range of experimental facilities are operated here in seven laboratories in order to be able to explain the new technologies vividly and impart the corresponding specialist knowledge.

The WBZU was founded in 2002 with the support of the state of Baden-Württemberg and the federal government as a non-profit association and was originally called "Weiterbildungszentrum Brennstoffzelle Ulm", which translates to Fuel Cell Education and Training Centre Ulm. In 2014, the company was integrated into the training academy of the Ulm Chamber of Trades and Crafts as "Weiterbildungszentrum für innovative Energietechnologien", Education and Training Centre for Innovative Energy Technologies. The WBZU's educational policy goal is to incorporate current research results into daily business practice and to promote the exchange between science and trade.
