From the molecule to the finished product and its market launch, the German Institutes for Textile and Fibre Research Denkendorf (DITF) conduct research and development along the entire textile value chain, also incorporating corporate processes and business models. This makes Denkendorf a worldwide unique location for innovations in the textile industry.
The research centre, founded in 1921, employs about 250 people on 25,000m2.
The DITF work on interdisciplinary research and development projects in the fields of chemistry, materials science, process engineering, materials technology, mechanical and plant engineering and management.
The scientists implement the latest results from basic and application-oriented research for the textile sector and set new standards with their developments. This applies not only to products, but also to manufacturing and analytical processes.
